A Non-resident client is an individual of Cape Verdean or other nationality, with a permanent residence abroad.

Service Payment
With the Digital Banking service, you shorten the distance and gain some time doing things. You no longer must face queues, if you pay your invoices through Internet banking, Caixanet or the Caixa Mobile App.

With access to Caixanet and Caixa Mobile, the client can make payments by choosing the option "Service Payment" or "Payments" and perform the following operations:

With access to Caixanet and Caixa Mobile, the client can make all payments, even when outside of Cabo Verde.

To do so, you just have to choose the "Service Payment" or "Payments" option and you can make the following operations:

  • Payment of insurance premiums;
  • Mobile top-up;
  • Payment of electricity, water and internet bills.
Caixanet and Caixa Mobile
You will have access to your account anywhere in the world and will be able to carry out a variety of banking operations such as: 

  • Consultations:
    • Balance and account operations;
    • Consolidated position of all your accounts;
    • Debit and credit card details and transactions;
    • Exchange rates;
    • NIB - Account Identification Number;
    • Schedule of the next account maturities.
  • Payment of services with QR Code;
  • Creation, reinforcement and mobilization of the deposit account;
  • National and international transfers;
  • Requesting debit cards;
  • Requesting checks with the possibility of indicating the branch for collection;
  • Credit simulation;
  • Sending messages to Caixa.

Transfers
Transfers can be made in a quick, convenient and secure way, through Caixanet and Caixa Mobile, at home or abroad.

Any client, and especially Non-resident clients, can execute domestic (intra and interbank) and international transfers to and from Cabo Verde.

Purchase and Sale of Foreign Currency
Caixa provides the Foreign Currency Purchase and Sale Service at all Branches.

Bringing your currency from abroad, the Emigrant client can exchange it and deposit it in the account, being available immediately, managing it through the ATM debit card, while you are enjoying your deserved holidays, or visiting family members in Cabo Verde.

With the money in the account, the security guarantee is greater, as you do not need to carry large amounts of money in your wallet.

Opening a Non-Resident Account

When opening the Non-resident, to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data provided, these documents are required:

  • Account Opening Form, filled out and signed;
  • Standard Information Sheet (available at the Branches);
  • Updated Passport;
  • NIF Statement/Card;
  • Document proving the respective address. If not possible, declaration issued by the client confirming his address (draft available at the Agencies);
  • Declaration of Salary issued by the employer, with information on job position and salary in the case of those employed;
  • Declaration of the type of profession and activity exercised, in the case of self-employed workers (draft available at the Agencies).

The Opening of the Account can only be effective upon presentation of the originals, or a certified copy of the required documents.
