SÃO VICENTE – On 5 June, the city of Mindelo became the stage for an innovative initiative designed to empower and strengthen Cape Verde’s creative sector. As a Prestige Category sponsor of the CVMA, Caixa Económica de Cabo Verde organized an exclusive financial education workshop for artists under the theme: “Talent on Stage, Security in Finances.”
The workshop was facilitated by Caixa’s Executive Director, Dr Júlia Ferreira, a financial education specialist certified by the International Labour Organisation (ILO). The session brought together musicians, creators and professionals from the cultural and entertainment industry, alongside members of Caixa’s commercial team in Mindelo, creating a valuable platform for dialogue between the financial sector and the artistic community.
The initiative highlighted the importance of financial literacy in supporting the long-term growth and sustainability of artistic careers, equipping participants with practical knowledge to better manage their finances while pursuing their creative ambitions.
During the workshop, participants explored the importance of sound financial planning, cultivating a savings culture, and preparing strategically for the future. Adding a practical perspective to the discussions, the event featured two distinguished figures from the music industry as guest speakers: singer Cremilda Medina and artist MC Acondize.

They spoke about the importance of budgeting, saving consistently, and making informed financial decisions to navigate the uncertainties of the industry while building a secure and balanced financial future.

Replacing the Visa Electron card, the Tubarão Card was designed to meet the needs of modern users, offering greater convenience, enhanced security features and contactless payment technology for seamless transactions both nationally and internationally.
Beyond its advanced functionality, the card’s identity pays tribute to Cabo Verde’s rich sporting history and its proud participation on the world stage, symbolizing ambition, resilience and national pride.
