"Living below or above the line" was the Tittle of the motivational talk held by Caixa on May 6, as part of the celebration of International Labour Day, an event where all employees were invited to reflect on their choices, attitudes, and behaviors that lead to a proactive or reactive mindset.  

The event, held in a hybrid format (face-to-face and live streaming), started with a dynamic reflection "Thinking outside the box", about the conditioning of a formatted thought and the paradigm shift, for an approach outside the comfort zone. 

Throughout the conversation, the employees had the opportunity to expose their opinions, debate differences, and reach harmony regarding their different responsibilities and roles towards attaining organizational goals and happiness at work.  

Key issues discussed included Mental Attitude, Personal Power, Power of the Other, Control, and Anxiety. These issues are understood as differentiating factors between people who live above the line and those who live below it.  

The President of the Executive Committee ended the event by highlighting the theme's relevance. He further reiterated the importance of individual attitude towards the reality which he mentioned can be considered an opportunity or a constraint depending on the person's profile/ attitude. An emphasis was made on the need to make people aware of the relevance of their attitudes and responsibilities for their success and the overall performance of the institution.  

He did highlight the Engagement Study currently underway at Caixa, whose main objective is to collect contributions for the evaluation of the institution's position in terms of employee commitment/attitude, further calling for the participation and involvement of all. 

"A happy employee is a productive employee", said the Chairman of the Executive Committee, stating that Caixa has made efforts to create the best technology working conditions for employees to be happy and productive. He also stressed on the institution's policy of having a fair, balanced, and competitive remuneration system.
