The Government has granted a new extension of the Moratorium, through Decree-Law no. 10/2022, of April 08, which proceeds with the 6th amendment to Decree-Law no. 38/2020.

This diploma, whose effects are retroactive to April 1st of the current year, grants an additional and automatic extension of the capital moratorium for a period of 6 months (from April 1st to September 30th, 2022).

This new extension benefits legal entities whose main activity is:

(a) in the areas of:

• Air Transport, Storage and Support Activities for Air Transport (CAE 51-5223);
• Accommodation, Catering, Drinking Establishments (CAE 5510-5610-5620);
• Real Estate (CAE 6810-6820);
• Travel Agency, Tour Operators, and Other Reservation Activities (CAE 7911-7912-7990).

b) In other areas unequivocally related to tourism, upon proof of a reduction in turnover of at least 25% in December 2021 compared to December 2019; and

c) In the area of water and energy collection, treatment, and distribution (CAE 3602), applicable only to the islands of Sal and Boavista.
