As part of the social and economic support measures for families and companies adopted by the Government to face the impacts of the pandemic caused by Covid-19, DL 54/2021 was published on August 12, 2021, which proceeds to the 5th amendment to DL 38/2020 of 31 March and establishes the extension of the moratorium in some cases.

Thus, if you have benefited from the moratorium (suspension of payment of capital and interest), and are in one of the situations listed below, you must send Caixa, by 09/21/2021, the following documents proving your situation (as applicable):

1. Statement from the employer, if you are on lay off, or have a reduced working period
2. IEFP declaration if you are unemployed registered with the IEFP;
3. Document proving eligibility for extraordinary support for the reduction of economic activity in the case of self-employed workers;

If you are not already in any of the situations mentioned above, or, if you have not delivered the relevant proof within the stipulated period, you must start the payment of interest from 10/01/2021, and the payment of the repayment installments will be resumed (principle and interest) from 01/01/2022.
