Moratoriums on Bank Credit Payment

In the chart, of the third revision of Decree-Law 38/2020 of 31 March, Caixa presents to all its estimated clients the terms of the extension of moratoriums on credit payment, as communicated by the Bank of Cabo Verde, effective until 30 September 2021:
 
a. beneficiary entities which, on 31 December 2020, were covered by the temporary regime  of bank credit service suspension benefit from an automatic extension of the measure until 31 January 2021, taking into account the delay in the publication of the law;

b. the beneficiary entities that, on February 1, 2021, are covered by any of the measures of the regime, benefit from the additional and automatic extension of these measures for a period of eight months, between January 31, 2021 and September 30, 2021;
 
c. The families, companies and other beneficiary entities that have not yet adhered to the moratorium, but intend to do so, should communicate their intention to the institutions until January 31st, 2021;

d. Credits granted to individuals and to companies belonging to the most affected sectors by the Covid-19 pandemic, remain eligible for the suspension of payment of capital, interest, commissions or other charges until September 30, 2021;

e. Companies in the most affected sectors also have an extension on the maturity of their credits, for a period of 12 months, in addition to the period in which these credits were deferred due to the effects of the regime;

f. The other beneficiary entities, not covered in the previous paragraph, will resume interest payments as of July 1, 2021, benefiting from the suspension of capital payments until September 30 of the same year.
